Keena James Seward, MS, AuD.

Dr. Keena James Seward is dually licensed and certified as an audiologist and speech-language pathologist. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Hampton University, a doctorate in Clinical Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Maryland, College Park and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from CUNY Lehman College. Her professional experience includes work in clinical, research, and educational settings as well as adjunct teaching at various universities. Chloe Ball, M.Ed, Literacy Specialist

Hailing from Bermuda, Chloe has twelve years of classroom teaching and leadership experience in New York and Washington, D.C. public/charter and independent schools. Chloe completed her Master’s Degree at Hunter College in Childhood Education along with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and English from Hampton University. She has established expertise in curriculum development, diagnostic testing and data analysis. Chloe is experienced in meeting the needs of general education, at-risk, and special needs students by crafting stimulating learning environments that promote academic excellence, reflective thinking, exploration, and collaboration. Chloe is trained in the I.M.S.E. Orton-Gillingham reading intervention program, Fundations, and the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System, and has a proven track record of success in designing multi-sensory, innovative curricula to advance student learning and development. Presently, Chloe works in Washington, D.C. as a literacy learning specialist.

Renee Simons, PhD

Dr. Renee Simons is a Clinical Psychologist working at Edgewood Pediatric Services, in Bermuda. She received both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Simons obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Child and Family relations from the University of Guelph, in Ontario Canada.

Dr. Simons works with children, adolescents, and families who may be struggling with behavioral and emotional problems, such as depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, behavioral acting-out, trauma, and anxiety. Dr. Simons also works with individuals who are learning to adjust to life with a chronic illness, providing motivational and behavioral support. In addition, she has experience conducting group therapy and has facilitated groups for adolescent females, individuals with learning disabilities, children with dyslexia, children with anxiety, and various classroom groups at the middle and high school levels. Dr. Simons has conducted many psychoeducational assessments through The Reading Clinic and while working at Edgewood Pediatrics.

Kelsey Ball Fomengia, PhD

Dr. Kelsey Ball is a Bermudian currently living in Washington, DC and working as a licensed clinical psychologist and yoga instructor. She earned her BA degree from the University of Virginia in 2011, double majoring in Psychology and Music. She completed her PhD in clinical psychology from Howard University in 2017 and now works as a consultant. She is a co-owner of the telehealth company FiveMedicine, which provides medical, mental health, and complementary health services. Her work in forensic settings, schools, community mental health, and private practice have provided her with a variety of clinical experiences with diverse populations. Having grown up in Bermuda, she has a particular interest in minority mental health and consistently advocates for holistic approaches to health and wellness. She is a co-founder of Bermuda Wellness Space.

Lori Eanes, DO

Dr. Lori Eanes is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she received her undergraduate degree from Temple University in Communications. She later received both a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science and a Medical Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been board certified by the American College of Family Medicine, the American College of Holistic Medicine and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. She customizes wellness programs and hosts private webinars, Housecalls for Healthy Living.

“Dr. Lori” has been practicing and promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for over twenty years. Her current practice integrates her training and certifications in health coaching. She is an advisor and board member of Body & Brain Yoga, an instructor in the Food for Life Program, and an Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) practitioner. Her knowledge of both conventional and complementry medicine allows her to support those interested in a lifestyle approach to their healthcare. She believes that “Doctors must not only treat you. Cheryl Peek-Ball, MD, MPH

Dr. Cheryl Peek-Ball has a long standing commitment to Bermuda’s public health system.  She served as Bermuda’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in the Ministry of Health from June 2013-September 2020.   Previously, she held the posts of Senior Medical Officer (2009-2013) and Medical Officer for Maternal Health & Family Planning in the Department of Health (1990-2009).  Dr Peek-Ball retired as CMO in September 2020 to pursue new avenues for serving the community she has come to love.

Dr. Peek-Ball is originally from the United States where she received her medical and public health education.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College (PA) in 1979, Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College) in Philadelphia in 1986, and Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. She has lived in Bermuda with her Bermudian husband since 1989.  Together, they raised two awesome daughters. She and her daughter, Kelsey, are co-founders of Bermuda Wellness Space.
